Ian MacLean, Esq.

Ian’s first exposure to the legal profession was gained when he spent the summer of his junior year in college as an intern with Stickley Law. This experience with our firm sparked Ian’s interest in estate planning and elder law, and ultimately resulted in his goal of one day becoming an attorney.

After graduating from Venice High School, Ian earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science at Stetson University. Ian then went on to graduate from Stetson University College of Law with a Certificate of Concentration in Elder Law.

During law school, Ian interned with Stickley Law for a second time. He also accepted internships with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Elder Justice Initiative and the Senior Advocacy Unit of a non-profit law firm in Tampa, Florida. During his second and third year of law school, Ian also worked as a law clerk for an estate planning firm in Clearwater, Florida, where he co-authored and contributed to tax and estate planning articles published to Bloomberg Tax, Forbes, and Leimberg Information Services, and co-authored a book on the Employee Retention Tax Credit.

Ian is grateful to have the ability to assist clients in the same community where he was raised, at the same firm where his aspirations of having a legal career began.
